Preparing your Umrah
Saudi visa cost: official eVisa fees, the Umrah visa and what a service charges
In short
The cost of a Saudi visa has two parts: the official fees, set by Saudi Arabia and the same for everyone, and the charge of the agency or service that files the application. For the tourist eVisa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes every item on its official site. For the Umrah visa, an accommodation and transport package is always added.

Official fees for the tourist eVisa
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists the tourist eVisa fees on its ksavisa.sa platform. These amounts are the same for every applicant, whoever fills in the form. They are paid by card at the end of the application.
| Item | Official amount | Refundable? |
|---|---|---|
| Visa fee | $80 | Yes, according to ksavisa.sa |
| Visa digital services fee | $10.5 | No |
| Insurance digital services fee | $10.5 | No |
| Medical insurance (premium) | Set by the insurer you choose | Depends on the insurer |
| Agency or service charge | Set freely by each provider | Under its own terms |
The state does not set the insurance price. During the application you choose from insurers approved in Saudi Arabia, and each has its own rate. Our guide to Umrah insurance explains what the cover includes.
One point deserves attention. The terms and conditions of the eVisa portal, written before the current platform, say that no refund is possible once an application is submitted or if it is rejected. The more recent fees page on ksavisa.sa lists the visa fee as refundable. If this affects you, keep your receipts and follow the steps in our guide to a rejected eVisa.
The Umrah visa: official fees and a compulsory package
The Umrah visa is applied for on the Nusuk platform or through an approved agent in your country. Its official page on ksavisa.sa lists the same kind of items as the eVisa: visa fee, digital services, insurance depending on the insurer. The real difference lies elsewhere.
The total price of an Umrah visa therefore depends mostly on the package: hotel category, distance from the Haram, dates and transport. The official fees and the package price are shown before you pay. We do not publish an amount for this visa, as it varies from one application to the next. To see whether the eVisa, with no compulsory package, is open to you, read eVisa or Umrah visa.
Why agency prices vary so much
Two travellers can pay very different amounts for the same visa. The official fees are not the reason: the gap comes from what is added around them.
- The service itself: plain data entry, or passport review, photo checks, follow-up and delivery of the visa.
- The Umrah visa package: hotels and transport, which weigh far more than the official fees.
- Currency and payment: conversion, bank charges, card fees.
- Extras: priority processing, additional travel insurance, flights.
A reliable agency separates the official fees from its own charge, in writing. If it will not, compare with another one.
Beware of inflated "official" fees
Some websites show an amount labelled as "official fees" that in fact includes their commission. Others borrow the name or colours of the Saudi portal without being part of it. The only reliable reference is the fees page on ksavisa.sa: compare it with the amount you are quoted, item by item.
Be wary, too, of prices with no breakdown or refund terms, and of websites that do not say who runs them. Our guide to scams and licensed agencies lists the signs to check.
What myumrahvisa costs
For travel agencies, the first request is free, one per agency, for up to 100 passports. After that, at our launch price, we charge €0.99 per processed passport, or €2 per passport in total with the Express option. The official visa fees are extra and paid by the agency. A processed passport is one submitted on the portal: it is charged even if the visa is rejected, never if it is withdrawn before. Full details are on agency pricing.
For individuals, the price is fixed per passport and all-inclusive: official fees, compulsory insurance and our service fee, shown in two parts before you pay. Amounts will be published at opening on the pricing page for travellers.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Saudi eVisa cost?
According to ksavisa.sa, the official fees are $80 for the visa, $10.5 in digital services fees and $10.5 in insurance digital services fees, plus the medical insurance itself, priced by the insurer you choose. An agency or service adds its own charge on top.
How much is an Umrah visa?
There is no single price. On top of the official fees comes an accommodation and transport package, which the Saudi ministry in charge of Umrah makes compulsory, and its price depends on the hotels, the dates and the provider. The total is shown on the platform or by the agent before you pay.
Is the Saudi visa fee refunded if the visa is rejected?
According to ksavisa.sa, the visa fee is refundable, the digital services fees are not, and the insurance depends on the insurer. The older terms of the eVisa portal rule out any refund. Keep your receipts and ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Details in Saudi eVisa rejected: what to do.
Is insurance included in the Saudi eVisa price?
It is part of the application: you pick an approved insurer while filling it in, and the premium is added to the visa fees. It covers medical emergencies only. See Umrah insurance.
Why do agencies charge different prices for the same visa?
The official fees are the same for everyone. The difference lies in the service, the package for the Umrah visa, the currency and payment charges. Always ask for an item-by-item breakdown.
Is it cheaper to apply for the Saudi visa myself?
Yes. If you file the application yourself on the official portal, you pay only the official fees and the insurance. A service saves you time and reduces data-entry mistakes, for a price it should state clearly.
