How to create a Nusuk visitor account: a step-by-step tutorial

In short

To create a Nusuk account you first need a valid visa. Download the official app, choose the visitor profile and enter your passport number, visa number, date of birth, nationality, mobile number and email. Confirm the verification code you receive, then add your companions. You do not need a Saudi phone number.

Before you start

Nusuk is the official Umrah app: it is where you book your Umrah permit and your Rawdah permit. You create a visitor account once you have your visa, tourist eVisa or Umrah visa, and you can do it from home before you travel.

Have your passport, your visa, a phone that receives your messages and an email address you check to hand. For a family, keep everyone's passports and visas nearby too: you will need them for companions.

Creating your account, step by step

  1. Wait until you have your visa

The visa number is essential. It appears on the eVisa and on the Umrah visa alike. If you have no visa yet, our eligibility checker shows which route is open to your passport.

  2. Download the official app

Search for Nusuk in your phone's app store and make sure it is the official app before entering any details. On the web, the platform reminds you that its official sites use a .sa address and a secure connection.

  3. Choose the visitor profile

Select the "Visitor" account, intended for travellers arriving on a visa. Residents of the Kingdom register with their iqama number instead.

  4. Enter your details

Passport number, visa number, date of birth and nationality, exactly as on your passport and visa. A single wrong letter or digit is enough to block registration.

  5. Add your mobile and email

A foreign number is accepted: pick the right country code before typing the number. Give an email address you actually check.

  6. Create a password

Choose a strong password, keep it somewhere safe and accept the terms of use to complete registration.

  7. Enter the verification code

According to the official FAQ, the code is sent to the registered email address. Some guides describe it arriving by text message: check both, including your spam folder.

  8. Check your profile

Check your name, passport number and visa number. A mistake here carries through to every permit.

  9. Add your companions

Use "Add Companion" at the bottom of the screen. Four companions at most, not counting dependants, who are unlimited. Each person needs their own visa.

  10. Have each request accepted

The companion logs in to their own account, in Nusuk or in Tawakkalna, and accepts the request. According to the official FAQ, a pending request must be followed up within 24 hours or it is cancelled.

  11. Book your Umrah permit

Your account is ready. Booking a date and slot is covered in our guide booking your Umrah permit in Nusuk.

Companions and dependants

The official FAQ distinguishes between companions, four at most, and dependants, with no limit on numbers. The cap of four therefore does not apply to dependants.

Each person you add needs a valid visa. One travel guide says the details are checked against immigration records, which can take up to 24 hours. For younger travellers, our guide Umrah with children covers the age and visa rules.

Changing your visa or email address

Coming back on a new visa? There is no need to create another account. According to the official FAQ, you register the new visa from the Settings page, then the Personal Data page. Your email address is changed in the same place.

The one case where you start again: a visitor who becomes a resident. The official FAQ then asks you to delete the old account and register again with your iqama number.

Common problems

  • Code not received: check the email address, the number and the country code, then your spam folder.
  • Registration stuck: uninstall the app, reinstall it and start again, as the official FAQ advises.
  • Visa number rejected: copy the number printed on the visa and check that the visa has actually been issued.
  • Details rejected: enter your name, date of birth and passport number exactly as on the passport.
  • Companion pending: they must accept the request from their own account within 24 hours.
  • No Saudi number: not a problem, a foreign number is accepted.

What myumrahvisa does for you

A Nusuk account needs a visa. We submit tourist eVisa applications for individual travellers and agencies, checking every passport, then send you the visa and its number. You then create your account with that number. Our guide Umrah on the tourist eVisa covers the other conditions of the trip.
