Preparing your Umrah
Check your Umrah visa status online: status, numbers to enter and printing
In short
Two official sites of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs let you check a visa: ksavisa.sa, with the application or visa number and the passport number, and visa.mofa.gov.sa, which shows and prints the visa from any two details. No result does not mean a refusal: most often the file has not been submitted yet or a digit is wrong. The visa alone is not enough for Umrah: the permit is booked in Nusuk.
Private service, not affiliated with the Saudi authorities.
Which official site to check which visa
Visas for Saudi Arabia are handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It offers two checking tools, which do not ask for the same details. Both addresses end in .sa, like every official site of the Kingdom: be wary of any other site asking you to pay to see a status.
| What you are looking for | Official site | What to have at hand |
|---|---|---|
| The status of a tourist eVisa or Umrah visa application | ksavisa.sa, "Track Application" | Application or visa number, passport number, image code |
| Displaying and printing an issued visa | visa.mofa.gov.sa, "print a visa" | Any two details (visa, passport, application, reference, first name), the nationality, image code |
| The permit to enter the Haram for Umrah | Official Nusuk app | Your Nusuk account and your visa |
If an agency submitted your application, it received the numbers. It can check for you, or pass them on so you can do it yourself.
Track your application on ksavisa.sa
Open the tracking page
On ksavisa.sa, click "Track Application" at the top of the page, or go straight to ksavisa.sa/track-application. A button switches to Arabic.
Enter the application or visa number
As it appears in the confirmation email or on the visa, with no extra space or letter.
Enter the passport number
The traveller's, exactly as on the photo page of the passport used for the application.
Copy the image code and confirm
Click "Track my application". The status of the application appears; once the visa is issued, you can open it.
Display and print your visa on visa.mofa.gov.sa
The ministry's visa platform has a printing page. It finds the visa from any two details, which helps when you do not have the application number. In our experience, it finds Umrah visas as well as tourist eVisas.
Open the visa printing page
On visa.mofa.gov.sa, the visa search page. It opens in Arabic, with English available.
Choose the first detail
From the list: visa number, passport number, application number, ministry reference number, or first name. Then enter it.
Choose a second, different detail
For example the first name if you gave the passport. Write the first name as in the strip at the bottom of the passport photo page.
Choose the nationality
The one on the passport. Watch the "non" options followed by a Gulf country: they are for foreign residents of those countries, not their citizens.
Copy the code and search
The issued visa appears. Save it as a PDF and print a copy.
No result: the common causes
A "no result" message is worrying, but it rarely means a refusal. A refusal is normally announced by email, by the platform that received the application. Before anything else, check these points.
- The application has not been submitted yet: your agency may be waiting for a document, or it has only just been filed.
- A digit or letter is wrong: a zero instead of an O is enough. Copy from the document, not from memory.
- The wrong field: an application number entered as a visa number, or the other way round.
- The wrong nationality: the one on the passport, not the country where you live.
- The wrong passport: the one used for the application, if you have changed it since.
If nothing changes after checking again the next day, ask the person or agency that submitted the application: they see the real state of the file. A travel comparison site, Wego, also advises not to conclude there is a refusal from a mere "no result". If a refusal is confirmed, our guide eVisa refused explains what to do.
Visa issued: do not forget the Umrah permit
The visa lets you enter the Kingdom. To perform Umrah, you also need a permit booked in the official Nusuk app, for a time slot, before going to the Haram. This applies to the tourist eVisa as to the Umrah visa. Our guide the Umrah permit in Nusuk details the booking, and the 1448 season calendar the dates to know.
With myumrahvisa, there is nothing to look for
When we submit the application for you, you follow each passport in your account: application submitted, in progress, visa issued or refused. The visa is delivered to your account and by email. For agencies, each visa is collected as soon as it is issued and filed under the pilgrim's name, in the group file.
You can also check for yourself on the official sites above, with the number printed on your visa and your passport number. How it works describes each step, from passport submission to the visa.
Frequently asked questions
Can I check my visa with my passport number only?
Not quite. On visa.mofa.gov.sa you need two details: the passport number and, for example, the first name as written in the passport, plus the nationality. On ksavisa.sa you need the passport number and the application or visa number.
Where do I find my visa or application number?
The application number is in the confirmation email you received when applying. The visa number is printed on the issued visa. If an agency applied for you, it holds these numbers: ask it for them.
The search shows no result: has my visa been refused?
Not necessarily. The file may not have been submitted yet, a digit may be wrong, or the nationality selected may not be the right one. Check each entry, try again later, then ask the person or agency that submitted the application.
Should I print my Umrah visa?
Keep the visa as a PDF on your phone and a printed copy. The visa.mofa.gov.sa platform lets you display and print it. The airline or the border check on arrival may ask for it.
Is having the visa enough to perform Umrah?
No. Before going to the Haram, book your Umrah permit in the official Nusuk app, with the tourist eVisa as with the Umrah visa. See the Umrah permit in Nusuk.
